My sister was coming home for Christmas break today, so that meant I got to take a spotting trip to make the drive up to pick her up worthwhile! I spotted at my usual spot on top of the short-term parking garage the entire afternoon until it got too dark to photograph anything. My main objectives were supposed to be some unusual cargo jets that are helping with the holiday rush for extra capacity, but that turned out to be hit-or-miss. One such plane I was after with no luck was a 757 operated by Asia Pacific Airlines, a cargo carrier based out of Guam, which is currently helping out on UPS routes on the west coast; I might make another spotting trip before Christmas to see if I can get it. Other than that, there were a few notable highlights this spotting trip, which includes a number of cargo heavies, and the 1,500th E-Jet delivered.
