About This Blog:

The primary purpose of this blog is to showcase the best of my aviation photography. As such, you will find links to my main aviation gallery on Facebook containing photos from aircraft spotting, some kind of aviation event such as air shows and fly-in events, as well as aviation museums. I also critique my flights on commercial airlines and the services they provide. Occassionally, you'll find personally written, independent articles based on news and current events involving aviation. And of course, I'll put up links to official and unofficial aviation-related websites when I find them. And when time permits, I'll talk and discuss about anything involving aviation. But most importantly, this is my way to document my journey into the aviation industry!

Flight Critique: Delta Airlines Flight 618 (NRT-PDX)

1.) Aircraft: Boeing 767-300ER

2.) Severe weather in Tokyo halted traffic, causing flight delay and departing one hour AFTER scheduled departure time. Arrival was also one hour AFTER scheduled arrival time

3.) Pretty mild turbulence as departure commenced; forced in-flight service to be delayed.

4.) Complimentary dinner, snacks, and breakfast served.

5.) Decent movies played throughout the flight.

Overall, a decent flight and service wasn't too bad for an airline I don't like flying with. Not gonna complain though since my church payed for this. Weather caused problems but the service on board made up for it. However, after flying Japan Airlines for the first time two years back, I'm gonna have to say that most U.S. flights can't compare with Japanese service.
