About This Blog:

The primary purpose of this blog is to showcase the best of my aviation photography. As such, you will find links to my main aviation gallery on Facebook containing photos from aircraft spotting, some kind of aviation event such as air shows and fly-in events, as well as aviation museums. I also critique my flights on commercial airlines and the services they provide. Occassionally, you'll find personally written, independent articles based on news and current events involving aviation. And of course, I'll put up links to official and unofficial aviation-related websites when I find them. And when time permits, I'll talk and discuss about anything involving aviation. But most importantly, this is my way to document my journey into the aviation industry!

Gallery Update: Off-Airport Spotting in South Jordan, UT

Happy New Year! My Dad and I made a drive to the Salt Lake City-area in order to drop my sister off for school. We spent the weekend in my aunts new home in South Jordan, Utah (SoJo for short!). And you guessed it, where we stayed was right under the south approach path for Salt Lake City International Airport so with camera in hand, I got a little off-airport spotting in, making these photos the very first of my aviation photos for the year 2016!

Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200. Note the blended winglets.

Delta Connection Bombardier CRJ-200.

American Airlines (still clearly in US Airways colors!) Airbus A320. Note the landing gear already extended.

FedEx Express McDonnell Douglas MD-11F. It was getting dark but as soon as I noticed on FlightAware that there was an MD-11 coming in, I just knew that I had to photograph it since they're becoming a rare sight!
