About This Blog:

The primary purpose of this blog is to showcase the best of my aviation photography. As such, you will find links to my main aviation gallery on Facebook containing photos from aircraft spotting, some kind of aviation event such as air shows and fly-in events, as well as aviation museums. I also critique my flights on commercial airlines and the services they provide. Occassionally, you'll find personally written, independent articles based on news and current events involving aviation. And of course, I'll put up links to official and unofficial aviation-related websites when I find them. And when time permits, I'll talk and discuss about anything involving aviation. But most importantly, this is my way to document my journey into the aviation industry!

Gallery Update: HondaJet Sighting in Salem!

It's funny, the last time I spotted at Salem, I was specifically after and successfully photographed a Mitsubishi MU-2, a Japanese airplane. Once again, I found myself chasing after another Japanese aircraft that was flying into Salem today, namely the Honda HA-420 HondaJet! I've only seen two other HondaJets previously, both sporting a standard blue corporate livery; but the one I got to see today sported the standard red corporate livery!

Salem (SLE) 18

Preview:

Honda HA-420 HondaJet (N430HJ) taxiing in after arriving on 13 from Seattle-Boeing Field. The red really makes this plane stand out!

I still can't get over the over-wing podded engine configuration the jet's known for!

I've now seen the blue and red liveries, which were the principle colors when the manufacturer was demoing the prototypes. Now there are at least ten different standard HondaJet liveries out there among the 90 plus airframes currently flying!

Another look at the over-wing mounted podded engines after parking. Scheduled to depart for Bend later in the afternoon.
