About This Blog:

The primary purpose of this blog is to showcase the best of my aviation photography. As such, you will find links to my main aviation gallery on Facebook containing photos from aircraft spotting, some kind of aviation event such as air shows and fly-in events, as well as aviation museums. I also critique my flights on commercial airlines and the services they provide. Occassionally, you'll find personally written, independent articles based on news and current events involving aviation. And of course, I'll put up links to official and unofficial aviation-related websites when I find them. And when time permits, I'll talk and discuss about anything involving aviation. But most importantly, this is my way to document my journey into the aviation industry!

Gallery Update: 4th of July Fly-Overs and Drones! (100th Post!)

Happy American Independence Day to you all! Given that this is the 100th post for this blog, I figured the 4th July would be appropriate for this occasion. I'm with relatives in Ashton, ID again this year for the 4th and if you've been following this blog for a while, you might have guessed there were P-51 fly-overs for the Ashton 4th of July parade. Well, once again the off-airport album has been updated:

Off-Airport 1 (Updated)

Now, I didn't snap many photos but I got some good shots:

Head-on pass with 'Ole Yeller' and the 'Mormon Mustang.'

A local Ashtonite buzzes the town in his American Champion Citabria (Bellanca 7GCAA) (N88473).

Someone had a camera-mounted remote-control drone flying around to catch aerial coverage of the parade.
