Gallery Update: Candy Drop & Gail S. Halvorsen Aviation Center Kickoff Celebration

This morning/afternoon, my friend and I attended a small celebration event at the Spanish Fork Airport. This celebration is for the groundbreaking the new Gail S. Halvorsen Aviation Center being built at the airport, which will serve not only as a museum, but also for the advancement of STEM education, promotion of youth leadership development, and enhancement of local capacity for humanitarian service and disaster response. In addition, the center will be the new Utah headquarters for the Civil Air Patrol. This small event featured a literal candy drop by "Candy Bomber" Gail Halvorsen himself, as well as a little static display of aircraft.

A true gentleman, a hero of the Cold War, and a legend!
